Well, hello and welcome to the Strong Girl Society blog … this is a new platform I am so excited to be bringing to the SGS community!

I feel like in the current digital society we live in, everything is designed to be short, sharp and digestible meaning our feeds are consumed by twenty second reels. Sometimes it is important to slow it down, take a few minutes and intake some slower content. This blog will bring you topics ranging from gym motivation, balancing your social life and fitness goals, to relationship advice and my experience with endometriosis.

I thought we would kick off the blog with a small introduction to myself, the Strong Girl Society and our stories.

If you have read The Strong Girl Society Guide, you will have a good knowledge of my journey into the fitness world. I developed an eating disorder in my early teenage years which led to years of toxic dieting cycles because I never felt I had the correct nutritional advice or role models to help me appreciate and understand my body. Since recovery and spending years learning about fitness and health, I have come out the other side with a huge passion for those topics. When I was fortunate enough to grow a platform, I always promised myself I would utilise it to be the positive influence I struggled to find.

Out of this new passion for health, wellbeing and fitness, Strong Girl Society was born!

Originally this was a small group brought together on a closed Facebook page with the core value of striving to be Strong Not Small. The narrative of being the smallest version of myself had ruled my life for so many years and once I felt the empowerment of breaking free from it, I wanted to help as many girls as possible feel the same.

Why did we start?

The group was initially formed to support, motivate and encourage each other through the summer months which can be daunting for so many people, but the community has grown beyond my expectations and is filled with so so many amazing women, including you. We have seen the huge impact this group of incredible women can make when we come together to support each other, and so the Strong Girl Society is here to stay! I wanted to launch this blog as another way of giving back value to such an amazing community. I hope you all love it and I can’t wait to chat soon,
